3 Misconceptions about Female Fitness

Female Fitness

I’ve heard that…

Well you don’t have to pass on the false information which you’ve heard of to everyone you know! There are a lot of fitness misconceptions especially regarding females; while in fact they are only there because they are being passed from one person to another until it became a common misconception but they have nothing to do with truth.

YOU’VE HEARD THAT…

  • LIFTING HEAVY WILL MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A MAN

No one of us hasn’t heard of this one, “Okay go to the gym, but don’t lift heavy weights so you won’t look like a man” when lifting heavy weights will only make you look stronger but never like a man.

The Female body only produces a fraction of the testosterone hormone that is responsible for building muscles. Even serious female trainers with years of experience can’t build the bulky muscle you see on male bodybuilders.

You can start look like a man only if you inject yourself with testosterone.

  • MUSCLE WILL TURN TO FAT WHEN YOU STOP WORKING OUT

There is no such thing, exactly as there are no magic pills that will make you lose/gain weight overnight. In the presence of good nutrition and rest, a muscle grows in size in response to a challenging resistance-training program via a process called hypertrophy, but when you stop lifting, the reverse occurs. It’s called atrophy, where the muscle simply becomes smaller. Muscle fibers don’t magically turn into fat cells; the muscle fibers simply shrink.

So it’s okay if you stopped training but you still eat clean. Your muscles can turn to fat if you stopped working out and replaced healthy foods with junk ones and fatty calories.

  • TRAIN YOUR LEGS EVERY DAY TO DEVELOP A CURVACEOUS BOOTY

It is all about the recovery that your muscles need from intense work outs, if you don’t allow some space for rest you won’t notice any change in the curves you are longing to have.

Then where did they get it from?

Keep in mind that every day workouts give the same results as no day.
