The TriFactory kicks off its annual Ramadan charity running campaign, ItsWorthATri. The month-long challenge is a chance for every athlete to give back to the community and stay active at the same time. For every kilometer completed for ItsWorthATri by participating athletes and posted to Instagram using the hashtag #itsworthatri, The TriFactory donates to charity as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Throughout Ramadan, The TriFactory organizes a community run every Friday, bringing together athletes and teams from all over Cairo to run together, and at the end of every week, the total kilometers ran by participants is added up and their positions on the overall leaderboard updated. The total number of kilometers ran by each training group/team are tallied at the of the month. In total, runners ran almost 12,000 kilometers for charity last year. This year, The TriFactory is donating 1 Egyptian pound for every kilometer completed to the campaign’s official charity partner, Misr El Kheir, and 2 LE for every kilometer ran in the Friday groups runs.
Adding to the campaign this year, The TriFactory will organize a special running race, “Ramadan Relay Run” on June 8 at Smart Village, where runners from all over Cairo can come together to raise as much money as possible one last time.
