Hers gym just turned 5! For 4 years now they have been surprising us with great parties and greater causes. This year wasn’t any less awesome. Let us tell you all about ‘The rise of hers’ the wonderful, full of energy day we had. The party was hosted in Fairmont Heliopolis on the 22nd of April. As you may know, Rise is all about the well-being of women. The cause of the year was to stand next to women rising above diseases; 5% from tickets sales was donated to Baheya foundation.
One of the things we loved the most was how every woman and every girl got the chance to try more than one fitness program in just a day. Three different halls were in action at the same time throughout the whole day; each of the halls hosted a different type of a fitness program, be it Zumba, Les Mills, and aerobics/ cheerobics. Classes were hosted by some of the best fitness instructors out there; For the cheerobics, Samira Khalil, Sara Heggab, and Pakinam Hesham. For the zumba, Esraa Galal, Ola Abany, Heba Khalil, Emeline Lavender, Jessie El Baz, and Mariam Azmy. Finally, for the Les Mills, Amany Taher, Farah, Aya El Zahaby, Sonia Sherazi, and Sherifa Amin. This gave every woman and girl the chance to try all classes and decide what she likes best. When you think about it, this could help put those women on the right track to a more healthy and fit life.
Another great thing about the event was the kid friendly environment; An entire hall was dedicated to kids under the supervision of Kidzania, for women who wanted to have fun and bring their kids along. They had lots of different activities for the kids. There was also a really nice bazaar with 15 different brands that are of high interest and popularity among women.
Another favorite part of ours was the fitness competition; Different teams from the different branches of hers competed against each other for a big prize. We loved how the girls of each team worked together as a family. The spirit was just amazing. New Cairo girls won the competition, they really deserved it.
To top it all off, the party ended with a belly dancing competition, hosted and judged by the two superstars Dina and Nagwa Fouad. Two of the best Egyptian girl drummers, Donia and Rania, were there too.The day started at 9 am and ended at 10 pm, it couldn’t have ended in a better way. It’s okay if you missed the event this year. You can attend their 6th, hers always rise.
Special thanks for the one and only Basma Fathy for these amazing Photos 🙂
