It’s summer already, and the season requires a special skin care routine! Try not to skip any of the following tips in order to keep your skin adequately moisturized, nurtured, and healthily glowing!

1. Sun protection is a MUST

We don’t want our skin to get burned, and we definitely don’t want to increase the risk of skin cancer!  You do not need a moisturizer during the summer season, a good SPF should get that job done!

2. Consume Antioxidants

Eat up foods that are rich in antioxidants, like spinach, dark chocolate, berries, and kale OR drink up green tea, pomegranate, and grape juices! Antioxidants will reduce inflammation and prevent/treat acne.

3. Fight Pigmentation

Even if you use an SPF, if you have any skin pigmentation, it would be wise to use over-the-counter anti-pigment products like Arbutin and Kojic Acid.

4. Try a treatment

Mesotherapy nourishes the skin from the core and protects light sun damage, it is also usually rich of skin food: antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and peptides.

Retinoids (retinol), are super inducers of collagen!  They will exfoliate your skin, even out your pigmentation, and help fix sun damage!

5. Lips matter too

Don’t forget to take care of your lips, although lip balms are plenty, you’ll probably need one with a small percentage of SPF to protect your lips from the sun.

6. Cool Mist

Buy your favorite scented body mist and keep it in your cooler! That way when you’re heading to the beach you can use it to refresh your skin!

7. Water, water, water!

Do we really need to stress on that point? Always drink more water to replace what your body loses In the heat.

8. Save your Make-up money

It would be smart to give your skin a break from all the chemicals. Switch to natural makeup: tinted moisturizer, tinted lip balm…etc.

9. The Eyes too

The skin around your eyes is much thinner, and more delicate compared to the rest of your face! Use an under-eye gel that contains hyaluronic acid or go natural for cucumbers or honey, this keeps the eye region hydrated and prevents wrinkles from forming!
