This mini-workshop is open to anyone and everyone curious to know what it takes to maintain a self-led yoga practice.
Don’t confuse self-led yoga with being advanced. One not need be advanced but willing to learn through the process, seeking out
guidance from a trusted teacher where appropriate. The process of self-led yoga should be built step by step, foundation first. Adopting this method of yoga means you can practice anywhere and at your convenience.
If you’re looking to maintain this habit long-term, being able to guide yourself through the practice is a crucial component. It can be challenging yet very rewarding enabling an individual a closer look inward while promoting independence, focus and discipline.
– Intro lecture and group discussion (15 min)
– Intro to Self-Led Ashtanga Practice (30 min)
– Intro to Self-Led Restorative Yoga and Meditation (30 min)
– Wrap-Up with self-practice tips and Q+A (15 min)
About the instructor: Hannah has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching since 2015. Focusing on being a student first and foremost – fortunate to have had a home practice from the beginning. Now, she also studies under long-time Ashtanga teacher in Cairo, Mira Shihadeh. As a teacher, she sees herself as being there to provide a safe/supportive space for others to learn as well. She currently teaches at various spots around Cairo and runs the Yoga Lab at Rohana Yoga Studio.
