Sufi Yoga Workshop

Sufi Yoga is a mindful Hatha Yoga class that combines asana, pranayama and meditation with Sufi poetry and mantras from the Naqshbandi Order.
It’s a heart-opening practice that quiets the mind, awakens one’s appreciation and brings you back to that infinite source of Love that resides within.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction and a discussion surrounding a piece of poetry before we begin our class. After our yoga sequence we do a little Zikrs and sit for meditation. The practice is suitable for all levels.
About Yogi Ali :
Ali is trained in a number of styles and techniques including Akhanda Yoga (a traditional form of Hatha Yoga), Kundalini, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. He often combines tools from others paths, including Sufism, and firmly believes that “if you can breathe, you can do yoga.” His class is intended to be approachable, fun and yet challenging and is accessbile to beginners as well as those looking to evolve their practice. No two sessions are ever the same but the environment is always supportive and encouraging. Ali teaches from the heart and inspires others to connect with their own source of wisdom and beauty.
